“Digital & new build” event
Digital solutions for large-scale construction projects !
This week we had the pleasure of welcoming over forty people to the “digital & new build” event we organized in the UK, south of Bristol.
This location was not chosen at all at random, as it is close to the Hinkley Point site, where 2 new reactor buildings are currently being erected, each with a production capacity of 1,650 MW.
The main players in this project, EDF (UK), EPR ENGINEERING LTD, Edvance, Framatome and Bylor, accepted our invitation to come and discuss, brainstorm and debate with us the benefits of digital solutions for current and future nuclear construction: VR, training, the use of BIM, etc.
This was an opportunity for BYLOR (a Joint Venture – Bouygues/Laing O’Rourke), civil engineers for HPC (Hinkley Point C) and EDF (UK), to give their feedback over the last 3 years on the use of our software, and in particular MySurvey‘s DAC module, which allows the conformity of elements such as plates and sleeves to be monitored.
The gains announced in their testimonials are significant, and demonstrate that the use of our simulation software is a real asset in making construction sites reliable and safe, right from the start.
Numerous use cases will soon be addressed with a wider deployment of MySurvey within E2E Engineering, JDO and MEH Alliance with the aim of having compliant installations “the 1st time”!
We would like to thank Cyclife UK and Cyclife Aquila Nuclear for their sponsorship and involvement in this event, as well as Barry Abdo MCInstCES, Vindy Panesar, James Moreton, Sanjay Vemar, Julien Blaudet for their testimonials, which contributed, in large part, to the success of this 1st edition.
